Mixed Use

A more diverse and beneficial built environment contains many opportunities for mixed use developments, where differing functions can be combined either in one building or on the same site.

Active street frontages, a more interesting urban fabric and enhanced property values can result from such developments. Another outcome is social cohesion, by providing opportunities for meetings between members of the community who might not otherwise come into contact with each other.
